NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting – $150
This class teaches student how to identify the parts and learn the operation of the different types of shotgun actions. Students will learn about different types of ammunition, learn how to safely clean a shotgun, and learn the fundamentals of shooting moving targets in live firing exercises

This class is eight to ten hours long. You can shoot any caliber shotgun between a .410 ga and a 12ga. Limited shotguns will be available on a first reservation basis. You will shoot between fifty and 100 rounds of #7.5 or #8 lead birdshot in shooting exercises. Ammunition can be purchased at the range or you can bring factory loaded ammunition for your shotgun. No steel shot ammunition is permitted. Students working toward the NRA Shotgun Instructor Certification must take this class unless they have had prior equivalent training and can pass shooting proficiency and the written exam for this class without attending it.
You must register at least 14 days in advance of class to allow time for ordering required NRA training packet and receiving it. If less than four people pre-register the class will be cancelled and deposits refunded.
We only consider minors under 18 for training if a parent or guardian takes the training with them.
Payment with your registration is required to reserve a slot for a class. If you cancel attending more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time of a class you’ve registered for there will be a $50 cancellation fee deducted from your refund to cover our advance administrative costs. Cancellations within 48 hours of a class starting time are subject to a $75 cancellation fee. If you do not cancel or show up for class you forfeit your pre-payment.
