This class teaches student how to identify the parts and learn the operation of the different types of shotgun actions. Students will learn about different types of ammunition, learn how to safely clean a shotgun, and learn the fundamentals of shooting moving targets in live firing exercises
Feb 24th – 8:30am – 6:00pm
This class is eight to ten hours long. You can shoot any caliber shotgun between a .410 ga and a 12ga. Limited shotguns will be available on a first reservation basis. You will shoot between fifty and 100 rounds of #7.5 or #8 lead birdshot in shooting exercises. Ammunition can be purchased at the range or you can bring factory loaded ammunition for your shotgun. No steel shot ammunition is permitted. Students working toward the NRA Shotgun Instructor Certification must take this class unless they have had prior equivalent training.
You must register at least 10 days in advance of class. If less than four people pre-register the class will be cancelled and deposits refunded.
